Lighting plays a huge part in photography. Poorly lighted venues make it hard to create good event photos. The photographer may have to rely heavily on flash, shoot at very high ISO, use a wide aperture lens, or shoot at prolonged shutter speeds. All solutions come with its downsides. Relying too heavily on flash may cause the image to look different from the actual scene. High ISO settings may result in grainy photos. Using an aperture setting that is too wide may result in a depth of field that is too shallow. Shooting at slow shutter speed may result in blurry photos.
